The Space
Villa del Balbianello is situated on a promontory on the western branch of Lake Como, around 30 km from the town of Como. It offers a stunning backdrop for wedding photos and videos,
Accessible exclusively by boat, this stunning villa boasts gardens that overlook Lake Como and almost face the charming town of Bellagio. Accessing the villa by boat adds a romantic and secluded feel to your wedding.
Built at the end of the 18th century by Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini, the villa is renowned for its beautiful gardens, where the colors of the Italian flag are reflected in the flora.
Villa del Balbianello Wedding Ceremonies and Banquets
Weddings at Villa del Balbianello can be either symbolic or civil ceremonies, held in various picturesque locations within the villa’s grounds:
- Under the Loggia, the most panoramic point, suitable for small groups and outside public opening hours.
- In the Garden, perfect for medium to large groups.
If the villa is booked on a public weekday, the ceremony will take place in the private part of the garden. In case of bad weather, the Loggia Segré offers an indoor option for up to 75 people, with the possibility of hosting up to 150 guests with a rented gazebo.
For the wedding banquet, several areas within Villa del Balbianello can be utilized:
1. The Loggia, accommodating up to 75 people.
2. The Loggia Segré, fitting up to 100 guests with both indoor and outdoor seating under a marquee.
3. The terrace in front of the church, suitable for up to 60 guests, available only when the villa is closed to the public.
4. The terrace on the lake, accommodating up to 150 guests, requires a marquee and flooring.
The villa offers exquisite menus prepared by a local catering company, customizable to the couple’s preferences, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
